What exactly is mobile dog grooming?

A fully equipped grooming salon is built into a van that parks at your home. Your dog is bathed, dried, trimmed, and finished inside the van, then walked right back to your door. There is no drop-off, no waiting room, and no cage time between steps.

Do you need to use my water or electricity?

No. The van carries its own fresh water tank, water heater, and power supply, so nothing is run off your house. All we need is a legal, reasonably level place to park within about 30 feet of your front door or gate.

How long does a mobile grooming appointment take?

Most appointments run 60 to 120 minutes depending on your dog's size, coat type, and condition. A bath-and-tidy on a short-coated small dog is quick; a full haircut on a matted doodle takes considerably longer. You get a time estimate when you book.

Do I have to be home during the appointment?

Someone needs to hand the dog over and be reachable by phone, but you don't have to stand outside for the whole appointment. Plenty of clients hand off the dog, go back to work, and come out when we text that we're finished.

What if my dog is anxious, reactive, or has never been groomed?

Tell us up front. One dog at a time means no barking lobby and no other animals to react to, which is why mobile grooming works so well for anxious dogs. For first-timers we often recommend a shorter introductory visit before attempting a full haircut.

How often should my dog be groomed?

Doodles, poodles, and other non-shedding coats usually need a full groom every 4 to 6 weeks or they mat. Double-coated breeds like huskies and shepherds do best on a 6 to 8 week bath-and-deshed cycle, especially through a Texas summer. Short-coated dogs can stretch to 8 to 12 weeks.

What happens if my dog is badly matted?

Humane treatment comes first. Severe matting pulls painfully on the skin and cannot be safely brushed out, so the recommendation is usually a short clip-down and a fresh start. We'll tell you before we cut, not after.

How far in advance should I book?

Weekday mornings and weekends fill up first, especially in spring and early summer when everyone's dog starts shedding at once. A week ahead is comfortable; recurring clients on a 4, 6, or 8 week schedule get their slot held automatically.
