Most owners book more than they need or less often than they should. As a rough guide: doodles, poodles, and other non-shedding coats need a full haircut every four to six weeks; double-coated breeds like huskies, shepherds, and labs do best on a six to eight week bath-and-deshed cycle through a Texas summer; and short-coated dogs can usually stretch to eight to twelve weeks between baths, with nails trimmed more often than that.
