More often than an indoor dog — usually every six to eight weeks for a bath, deshed, nails, and a skin check. Outdoor dogs also need their skin checked for fleas, ticks, and sun damage.

His nails are really long. Can you fix them in one visit?

Not safely in one go. The quick grows out with the nail, so it takes several short trims a few weeks apart to bring the nails back without cutting into the blood supply.
